Armenia’s Foreign Ministry has reminded foreign media operating in Armenia of the rules of their activities in Armenia.
“According to the provisions of order 1943-N of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia adopted on July 27, 2023 "On Establishing the Procedure for Accreditation in the Republic of Armenia of a journalist carrying out journalistic activities acting on the basis of the legislation of a foreign state", the activity of a journalist acting on the basis of the legislation of a foreign state visiting the Republic of Armenia is carried out in the Republic of Armenia exclusively if he/she obtains a relevant accreditation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
Thus, we urge the representatives of media, journalists, acting on the basis of the legislation of a foreign state, to be guided by and strictly observe the procedures approved by the order of 1943-N of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia adopted on July 27, 2023, otherwise they will be subject to the responsibility provided by law,” read a press release issued by the ministry.
