Shots were fired Thursday in downtown Yerevan, reports sahamshyan.com.
At around 10:30pm, the police received reports that shots were fired at the intersection of Saryan and Aram Streets.
The police officers who were dispatched to the scene found two shells fired from a gun.
The police found out that 20-year-old Nerses B., 29-year-old Samson A., 29-year-old Hrachya M., 24-year-old Arthur V., and 37-year-old Avet M., being under the influence of alcohol, had shown open disrespect towards the public at the aforementioned intersection, grossly violated the public order, uttered profanities in a public place for a long time, and Avet M. had shot twice in an unknown direction with his gun.
Police and patrol officers found these persons hours later on Pushkin Street, and took them to the central police station, then to the investigation department—and on suspicion of hooliganism.
The local investigation department launched criminal proceedings into this incident.
The police and the investigation department are looking for the gun used in the crime.
