A group of Turks protested against the soldiers of an American warship that docked at the port of Bodrum, Turkey.

Military servicemen and officers of the USS Ramage, which arrived in Bodrum Port, came ashore to tour the city, but they encountered an unpleasant incident, Milliyet daily of Turkey writes. A group from the Youth Union of Turkey began shouting “Yankee, go home!” and “Killer America!” During the ensuing argument with the US soldiers, a Turkish youth put a bag over the head of an American soldier, and the Turkish youth subsequently fled.

The American military servicemen, together with their guide, went to the police and filed a complaint. As a result of police operations, eight activists were detained, and, because of the tense situation, they asked the American servicemen touring Bodrum to return to their ship.
