There is a closed road on the territory of Armenia, the Rescue Service reports.

The road leading from the high-mountain weather station “Amberd” to the Amberd fortress and Lake Kari in the Aragatsotn Province is closed.

According to the Department of Emergency Situations Management Agency of Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Department of Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia Republic of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open to all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.
