STEPANAKERT. - President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan on Sunday visited the Togh village in Hadrut region and partook at an event dedicated to 20th anniversary of the settlement’s liberation.
In his speech, the President noted that the liberation of Togh was among the first victories of our national liberation movement that was important from military and historical perspectives. The Head of State considered the victory of Togh a prelude to the subsequent victories. Bako Sahakyan presented state awards to a group of freedom fighters.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, PM Ara Harutyunyan, other officials, and guests from Armenia and abroad partook at the event, Central Information Department of the Office of NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
