Armenian chess team will face Azerbaijani squad in the second round of European Team Chess Championships held in Greece.

The teams are represented by strongest players: Levon Aronian- Teimour Radjabov, Sergei Movsesian – Vugar Gashimov, Vladimir Akobyan – Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Gabriel Sargissian – Gadir Guseinov.  

In the first rounds both teams celebrated victories: Armenia defeated Australia, while Azerbaijan- Italy.

Armenia’s women team drew with Czech Republic and will face Croatia in the second round.
