YEREVAN. – Another earthquake hit nearby Van, Turkey, which was likewise felt in Armenia, specifically in the capital, Yerevan.
The magnitude-5.4 tremor was recorded on Wednesday at 2:05 a.m., Yerevan local time, whose epicenter was 9.4 km below the surface, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
This tremor in Van was also felt in Yerevan, and it was one of the strongest aftershocks ever since the devastating earthquake that hit Van on October 23.
