Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Wednesday received Georgian Ambassador Giorgi Sharvashidze on the occasion of the appointment of a new military attaché of Georgia to Armenia.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Papikyan congratulated the newly appointed military attaché of Georgia to Armenia, Lt. Col. Teimuraz Maisuradze, and wished him effective work in the development and strengthening of cooperation between the defense ministries of both countries, Armenia's Ministry of Defense informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress and prospects of defense cooperation between Armenia and Georgia, and exchanged views on regional security and international developments.
