A video clip appeared in the Turkish media were police beat an arrested woman in the police station.

As the Turkish Hurriyet informs, the police were realizing an operation in a club in Izmir. 37-year-old Fevziye Cengiz had visited the club with her family. The police officers demanded an ID from her and as her husband went out to get his wife’s documents from the car the police officers arrested the woman and by beating her took her to the police station.

The video camera of the police station recorded how the police officers were beating the arrested woman violently.

It is stated in the woman’s statement that the police officers beat and sexually abused her on the way to the police station.

A lawsuit was presented against the police officers for exceeding jurisdiction and causing physical injuries, the police also sued the woman for insulting them and using force against them.
