At its Cabinet session Thursday, the Armenian government approved the signing of the protocol to amend the treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

The main purpose of this protocol is to make changes—to the aforesaid treaty—aimed at eliminating the gaps that have emerged in legal regulation during legal practice, ensuring the uniformity of the terminology used in the treaty, as well as specifying the existing provisions of the treaty.

The adjustments aimed at eliminating the gaps in legal regulation are made mainly in the sections related to the operation of the internal market, the calculation and distribution of import customs duties, ensuring the unity of measurement, investments, competition, electricity, public procurement, etc.
