YEREVAN. – The ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia’s (RPA) new Executive Body (EB) will be elected during its regular congress, which will be convened either in January or February, 168 Zham daily writes.  

“According to our information, considerable changes will be made in RPA EB. According to talks being circulated within RPA, the Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the NA [National Assembly], Davit Harutyunyan, will not be in the new EB. Some even do not rule out that NA’s now former Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan likewise might not be included in the new EB. Instead, NA incumbent Speaker Samvel Nikoyan and Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, [capital] Yerevan Mayor, Taron Margaryan, and other new faces will enter the new EB. By the way, it is also with this congress that RPA plans to formally announce [its] pre-election campaign,” 168 Zham writes.
