Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg. The meeting took place in Malta, and on the sidelines of the 31st Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

Continuing the active political dialogue, the interlocutors touched upon activities aimed at further developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Austria, as well as prospects for the deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of continued support from EU member states on matters such as the dialogue on visa liberalization and democratic reforms, and informed about discussions within Armenian society regarding further cooperation with the EU.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Alexander Schallenberg exchanged views on regional developments, too.

In addition, Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's position on the importance of signing, within the shortest timeframe, the treaty on normalization of relations with Azerbaijan.
