A group of students and management staff of the Defense and Security Senior Program of the Defense Institution Building School of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Georgia, led by the deputy director of this educational center Nikoloz Melkadze, visited Armenia on Monday and Tuesday.

This Georgian delegation was received at the MoD of Armenia by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the MoD of Armenia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the MoD of Armenia.

During the meeting, the process of reforms being implemented in the defense of Armenia was presented, as well as the prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the defense sector.

The Georgian delegation was hosted also at the National Defense Research University of the MoD of Armenia, where the head of this educational institution, Albert Baghdadyan, delivered a speech on the activities of this university.

And as a result of this visit to Armenia, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Defense Research University of the MoD of Armenia and the Defense Institution Building School of the MoD of Georgia—an for the first time in the history of the cooperation of military educational institutions of the two countries.
