In response to media questions, RA Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan provided clarifications on the Armenia-US Strategic Partnership Charter and Commission.

“On January 14, the document on strategic partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America - the Charter - was signed in Washington, D.C., and both the Armenian and American sides published the fully identical text of the document itself, developed as a result of joint works and finally agreed upon.

The Charter defines the strategic nature of the partnership between the two countries and, at the same time, launches a commission, which is a format within which the parties will work to realize the goals enshrined in the Charter, discuss and coordinate issues of cooperation in the sectoral areas mentioned in the Charter,” she informed.
