The Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia made a decision to propose to the NA Council to form Armenia-Saudi Arabia Friendship Group, the NA informs.

Committee Chair Sargis Khandanyan reminded that the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Saudi Arabia were established in November 2023.

Last year, the two countries mutually appointed non-resident ambassadors, and most recently, a Saudi Arabia-Armenia Friendship Group was formed in the parliament of Saudi Arabia—the Consultative Council.

The aforesaid committee voted in favor of this proposal, which was debated on at the meeting on Monday.
