Donald Trump has stated that the Russian-US talks in Riyadh were very good. The US president said that his confidence in the settlement of the Ukraine issue has strengthened.

He was asked to talk about the aforesaid meeting in the Saudi Arabian capital city, and whether he became more confident in reaching a deal to resolve the Ukrainian crisis after these talks.

After signing his new executive orders, which took place at the American leader’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, said Trump said that he is much more confident that these negotiations were very good.

The US president added that he believes the Kremlin "wants to stop the savage barbarianism" of the war.

Also, he compared the tragedy of the Russian military operations in Ukraine to the Battle of Gettysburg, the American Civil War’s bloodiest battle, which took place in early July 1863.
