US President Donald Trump has accused Ukraine of breaking the rare-earth minerals’ deal that the US administration said would have allowed it to recoup funds spent on aid to Kyiv.
"We had a deal based on rare earth and things, but they [i.e. Ukraine] broke that deal. But they broke it two days ago," Trump said at an investment forum in Miami on Wednesday.
In his speech, Trump continued to attack Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and said that the US has spent $350 billion on aid to Kyiv, but unlike European countries, it has received nothing in return.
"While the United States gets nothing back, so they [i.e. Europe] get their money back," the US president said.
