French President Emmanuel Macron had a series of phone conversations on Sunday with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

“Over the past few hours, I have spoken with [Ursula] von der Leyen, Olaf Scholz, Keir Starmer, RT Erdogan and PM Viktor Orban.

Following discussions over the past few days with European colleagues and allies, we are committed to ensuring that peace returns to Ukraine in a just, solid, and lasting manner, and that the security of Europeans is strengthened through all upcoming negotiations,” the French president wrote on X.
