November 16, Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum commences in Brussels.

The forum aims at assisting the cooperation development between the NGOs, representing the civil society of Eastern Partnership member states. About 240 NGOs from EU and 6 post-soviet countries (Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan) participate in the event.

In addition, it seeks to promote EU values and principles in 6 former soviet countries and develop European neighborhood policy. Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, the EU Commissioner responsible for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner as well as European Economic and Social Committee President Mario Sepi will represent European Union at the forum.
