The demand of Russians for air tickets to Paris and Barcelona for the upcoming summer has doubled compared to the same period in 2024, while the popularity of Seoul and Tbilisi has decreased by about 20%. This is stated in the results of a study of the travel planning service OneTwoTrip, TASS reports.
“Interest in Europe has seriously increased: twice as many Russian travelers are already going to Paris and Barcelona than last summer. Almaty has become just as popular. The demand for flights to Minsk (+38%) and Antalya (+19%) has also increased. But the rest of the cities still attract fewer tourists: the share of Seoul decreased by 20%, and Tbilisi - by 17%,” - experts say.
Yerevan became the most popular foreign destination for the summer: 7.9% of air bookings come to the capital of Armenia - it is 17% points (p.p.) less than a year earlier.
Istanbul (6.6%, +12 p.p.) and Baku (5%, demand fell twice) are also in demand among tourists. In addition, Minsk (4%), Paris (3.8%), Antalya (3.2%), Tbilisi (2.9%), Alma-Ata (2.8%), Barcelona (2.7%) and Seoul (2.3%) are also in the top 10.
