Maltese MP Joseph Debono Grech is appointed to the position of PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan.
There were two candidates at the committee session: Grech and Norwegian MP- Lisa Christophersen.
Grech was elected by 18 votes. According to Azerbaijani PACE delegation head Samad Seyidov, the terms of the visit of a new co-rapporteur to Azerbaijan are yet unclear.
Grech’s predecessor Eugenia Zhivkova resigned back in June 2009.
