The RA Public Services Regulatory Commission has made a decision reducing prices on Armenia’s IP-market. Specifically, the services rendered by ArmenTel and FiberNet will be available at lower prices. According to the information reported to NEWS.am, at its sitting on October 18 the Commission set the highest price – 17, 400 AMD for 1Mb/s. The new price is almost twice as low as in the first quarter of 2009. The Commission’s decision is to take effect on January 1, 2010. On October 14, the Commission recognized ArmenTel and FiberNet as monopolists on the IP-market.
