A group of Lithuanian MPs adopted a protocol to create a Group of Friendship in Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

Yerkir.am issued the full text of the protocol: 

“Taking into consideration the fact that 25th anniversary of Artsakh movement, when Armenian nation had implemented its self-development right, was marked recently and Lithuania had welcomed that aspiration and came out in favor of a peaceful solution to the problem:

Taking into consideration the fact that both nations of NKR and Lithuania have fought for their self-determination without violating International norms, democratic values and common concepts, which are treated loyally till today:

Sharing the European space policy, according to which every citizen is entitled to the enjoyment of basic rights and fundamental freedoms without delay:

Taking into consideration the fact that the practice of physical security and the right to self-determination is the only guarantee of democratic development:

 Noting the considerable efforts of Artsakh’s free and democratic society, the establishment of legitimate and effective government and through responsible for conducting elections:

Giving importance to the involvement of Artsakh in the international community for solving problems and long-term peace and stability for the region:

We, the deputies of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, announce about  the decision of making friendship group between the Republic of Lithuania in the Seim and the Republic of Artsakh.”
