The residents of Lusarat village in the Ararat Province of Armenia, and who are unable to purvey their grape harvest, managed to meet with Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, but solely after closing off the Yerevan-Meghri Highway for about two hours on Friday morning.

Lusarat resident Nelli Avetisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that hundreds of village residents blocked the highway in the morning, as planned, and about two hours later, the governor of Ararat and then the minister arrived in nearby, Pokr Vedi village.

“Now, a Q & A is in progress with the minister,” she added.

Earlier, Lusarat residents had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that no factory is procuring their grape harvest.
