Armenia and Jordan have many opportunities for cooperation, said the King of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, at a joint briefing with the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian (photos).

The King of Jordan thanked for the warm welcome in Yerevan, one of the oldest cities. 

Two countries in the modern world have their place, remain faithful to culture and faith, he noted adding that Jordan, like Armenia, turned human capital to the development of the country.

There are many facets of cooperation to capitalize on this promising potential, he added recalling that this is his first official visit to Armenia.

According to him, Armenia and Jordan are in the same family. 

The King noted that Jordan has given shelter to many Armenians, and helping the needy is the right way. 

As Abdullah II  noted, thousands of Jordanians rooted in Armenia, they made a great contribution to the development of Jordan in all areas, and form the basis of friendship between countries and the prosperity of Jordan. 

Having made a historical excursion, the King noted the numerous holy places for Christians and Muslims around the world and declared that the region should not be turned into a place of discord.

The brotherhood always wins, Abdullah II noted, expressing the desire to write together a new chapter of cooperation and development.
