An Iranian official announced that 71 rockets fired from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone had fallen on the border town of Khodaafarin, northwestern Iran, Iran Press reported.

Aliyar Rastgoo, the political and security deputy governor of East Azerbaijan, said on Wednesday: "The rockets hit several villages in Khodaafarin city, but fortunately they have not caused any casualties."

Also, he stressed: "Legal measures have been taken by the Iranian border forces, and the parties involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh war have been given a serious warning to prevent such incidents."
