In Goris, Armenia, governor Robert Ghukasyan of Syunik Province presented the situation in Goris to Samantha Power—Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)—as a result of the Azerbaijani military attack on Nagorno-Karabakh in the last few days, as well as the blocking of the Lachin corridor in recent months, Armenpress reported.

Thousands of people are leaving Nagorno-Karabakh at the same time through the Lachin corridor, and all this creates a great workload for Goris.

Samantha Power stated that they have come to Armenia support and provide more humanitarian aid, but she knows that no amount of humanitarian aid can alleviate the suffering that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh have seen and are going through now.

As of 8am Tuesday, 13,550 forcibly displaced persons entered Armenia from Nagorno Karabakh.
