The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently addressing the issue of granting consular access to Ruben Vardanyan, the former Minister of State of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The ministry is committed to safeguarding the rights of its citizen, as reported by TASS, citing information from a diplomatic source in Yerevan.

The source stated, "The issue of consular access to Vardanyan is being handled by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will protect the rights of the citizen of the Republic of Armenia."

Earlier, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan confirmed that Ruben Vardanyan had attempted to leave Artsakh and posted a photograph of his detention. Vardanyan's wife, Veronica Zonabend, reported that her husband had been arrested and captured by Azerbaijani authorities at the border while trying to leave Artsakh, along with thousands of other Armenians.
