The normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, including in terms of the reopening of the border, depends entirely on the steps to be taken by Yerevan, as a new situation has been created in the region, a source at the Turkish presidential office told RIA Novosti.
"As for the normalization of our [Turkey and Armenia] relations, the actual process within the framework of which the meetings took place, we can talk about the next steps after we see Yerevan's constructive, sincere, and peace-oriented approach. It is necessary to understand that a new situation has been created in the region; there are wide opportunities for cooperation. If there is such an approach, I believe we will see concrete movement in that process, even up to the matter of the border," said the interlocutor of RIA Novosti.
