Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation on September 28 with Leo Docherty, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (Europe) and discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to a press release by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Ararat Mirzoyan drew the attention of Leo Docherty to the consequences of the military attack unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno Karabakh on September 19, and targeting civilian settlements and people that led to the massive forced displacement of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of clear assessment of international partners and structures, adding that it is an imperative to exclude future cases of the use of force through effective mechanisms. He stressed that Azerbaijan continues the practice of using force, despite the assurances to the contrary in recent months.
