There is currently no specific date for the completion of the visa liberalization process between Armenia and the European Union. This was stated on March 23 by Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan at a session of the standing parliamentary Committee on European Integration, during the presentation of the report on the progress and results of the implementation of the Government of the Republic of Armenia's program (2021–2026) for 2025, in response to a question from opposition bloc "Armenia" deputy Armen Gevorgyan.

Nevertheless, as the Deputy Minister noted, the process is moving at a fairly rapid pace.

"We received the action plan in November of last year. The first progress report, I think, will be published within the next 1–2 months," Kostanyan said.

In his view, compared to other countries, this process is moving relatively faster for Armenia.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized that Armenia is currently the only country with which the European Union is conducting a visa liberalization process.

The diplomat also outlined the main areas in which Armenia needs to carry out reforms, including migration policy, human rights protection, and the introduction of a comprehensive border control system.
