The newly appointed Lithuania’s Special Representative for Protracted Conflicts Giedrius Cekuolis will visit Azerbaijan on February 21.

He will hold talks with Azerbaijani leaders and discuss ways of Karabakh conflict settlement, Lithuanian Ambassador to Baku Kestutis Kudzmanas told Trend News agency.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, as OSCE chairing state Lithuania is unlikely to provoke a revolution in settling any of the protracted conflicts, but it will do its best to get good results, Giedrius Cekuolis stated in December 2010.

The OSCE is an organization with progress measured in “millimeters”. However, each millimeter is “as good as gold.” He said Lithuania is determined to follow this course and do its best.

“Lithuania has developed a special resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The fate of the resolution on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, developed by the Lithuanian Seimas, will depend on the efforts of the international community to resolve the conflict,” Speaker of Seimas Irena Degutiene told journalists in Baku.
