YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia on Thursday reached a decision on providing a 10.5-million-dram (approx. US$ 27,224) subsidy to reduce the cost for receiving electronic signatures.

Owing to this subsidy, the cost for one electronic signature—which initially was 15,000 drams (approx. $39), and it was reduced to up to 13,000 drams (approx. $34) after recalculations—will now be down to 3,500 drams (approx. $9).

To note, online accounts can be presented solely by way of electronic signatures. And according to the State Revenue Committee, close to 1,106 medium-size business companies, or private entrepreneurs, can benefit from this subsidy.
