All political forces in RA Parliament except for Heritage opposed “Nagorno Karabakh recognition” draft law. Even ARFD in the person of Armenian Supreme Body representative Armen Rustamian esteemed it negatively.

The draftsman, Heritage party leader Stepan Safaryan protracted it for 90 days in the course of Dec.5 RA NA session. Commenting on the matter to NEWS.am he said: “All factions were against the draft. We appealed to Dashnaksutyun before its introduction to join us, but they replied that have more crucial topics to discuss. But as it didn’t happen, ARFD considers that RA National Assembly should not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh independence. This is an issue of diverse judgments. Heritage reckons that it should be talked immediately, while others utterly oppose.”
