The solemn ceremony of Armenian khachkar erection in one of La Plata squares (capital of Buenos Aires province) next to “Pura Pregnancy” church was held.

Armenian community representatives from Buenos Aires, Berisso, La Plata, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Argentine Republic Vladimir Karmirshalyan, La Plata mayor Pablo Bruera, member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the State of Buenos Aires Sergio Nahapetyan, AGBU Buenos Aires Chapter Chairman Ruben Kechichian attended the ceremony, RA MFA Press Service informed NEWS.am.

Khachkar was consecrated by La Plata Archbishop Hector Aguer and Archbishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Argentina and Chile Gisak Muradyan.

Prior to the opening ceremony the dignitaries held a service in Mother Church, thereafter all high ranking guests delivered speeches.
