December 9, Latvian President Valdis Zatlers and his spouse arrive in Armenia on a 3-day visit at the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan. Latvian delegation comprises Economy, Internal Affairs, Ecology Ministers, Head of Foreign Affairs Commission of the Parliament and other high ranking officials.
Valdis and Lilita Zatlers escorted by Rita and Serzh Sargsyan will attend the ceremony dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) foundation.
December 10, Serzh Sargsyan will have a meeting with his Latvian counterpart, followed by another one between the delegations. Thereafter, the sides will sign intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, RA Presidential press service informed NEWS.am. Both Presidents will give a post-meeting press conference.
Further, the leaders will attend the opening ceremony of Latvian-Armenian business forum.
In the course of his visit, Latvian President intends to meet with RA Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamayan, Premier Tigran Sargsyan, His Holiness Catholicos of all Armenians Karekin II.
On December 11, Latvian delegation leaves Armenia.
