December 9, Latvian President Valdis Zatlers and his spouse arrived in Armenia on a 3-day visit at the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan. Visit will start from the participation in the ceremony of the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) foundation’s 50th anniversary. Later, Zatlers will meet with RA President Serzh Sargsyan. Latvian President also intends to meet with RA Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamayan and Premier Tigran Sargsyan.

Further, the leaders will attend the opening ceremony of Latvian-Armenian business forum. Zatlers will by accompanied by a delegation of 62 businessmen, that includes representatives of almost all sectors of national economy seeking to open up new markets in Armenia. The delegation comprises Economy Minister Artis Kampars, Interior Minister Linda Murniece and Latvian Minister of Environment Raimonds Vejonis.
