December 11, 2009 RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan received Latvian President Valdis Zatlers, RA Governmental Information and PR Department informed NEWS.am. The officials discussed the issues on the enhancement of bilateral relations and shift from political dialogue to active economic cooperation.

The parties made a point of business contacts and intensification of steps towards its promotion. The officials expressed hope that Armenian-Latvian business forum in Yerevan will give a start to the development of trade and economic relations. The potential fields for cooperation were named as commerce, nature protection, tourism, information technologies and pharmaceutics.

As NEWS.am reported previously, Latvian President arrived in Yerevan on Dec. 9 and next day met with RA President Serzh Sargsyan, December 10.
