Armenian troops deployment in Afghanistan does not hinder its CSTO activities, organization’s Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha stated in the course of Yerevan — Moscow spacebridge under “CSTO: Activities’ results in H2 2009 and prospects for 2010” head.

According to him, CSTO does not restrict activities of its member states and they might cooperate with all organizations in any format, including military if it does not conflict with CSTO interests. “Armenia continues its intense activities in the frames of CSTO, despite the military presence in Afghanistan,” said Secretary General. He also expressed content with operation of CSTO information center in Yerevan. According to Bordyuzha, the center is working efficiently and similar ones should be opened in other CSTO countries.
