December 17, private session of the court on criminal case involving 31 Azerbaijani citizens accused of links with international terrorist network was held in Baku, APA news agency reports.

Under the accusation, the group created illegal armed band and projected crimes against the state. The group leader Azer Misirkhanov (Abdulla) was a member of armed units in maneuvers and military operations in various conflict zones.

Misirkhanov’s group planned to organize a number of terror attacks including explosion of Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline.

This November Misirkhanov was killed during the operations carried out by the U.S. servicemen in Afghanistan.
