On the whole, 2009 was favorable for culture sphere in Armenia despite global crisis, the Director of Sergei Parajanov Museum Zaven Sargsyan told NEWS.am.

“The year was very complicated from economical viewpoint, it was difficult to seek funds for implementation of some programs, nevertheless many cultural projects were carried out,” Sargsyan stated, underlining that it is great achievement. As to the neglects, according to him they related to certain personalities and not culture on the whole.
