Russia and Turkey might decide to introduce visa-free regime in spring 2010, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated at Jan. 13 press conference in Moscow.
“We proceeded lifting of visa regime,” Erdogan said expressing a hope the process will be underway by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Turkey in May or June 2010.
According to Russian Premier Vladimir Putin, the parties agreed on launching the process “that should be completed by signing intergovernmental agreements on a visa-free regime for RF citizens travelling to Turkey and Turkish citizens to Russia,” RIA Novosti reports.
