YEREVAN. – ‘Help Your Brother’ initiative group opened an account in order to help Armenians living in Syria.

“It is already a year since conflict is continuing in a state which sheltered thousands of Armenian refugees rescued from the Genocide about 100 years ago. Our compatriots and their generations participated in the development and reinforcement of Syria through their devotion and work.

At the same time, the Armenian community of Syria, as one of the organized and united communities, played an active and decisive role in Diaspora for preserving the Armenian identity. The community despite it is not engaged in the conflict, shares sufferings of the Syrian people.

We have no right to be indifferent,” the statement reads.
