YEREVAN. – At present, Armenia owes $8 million to various international organizations as membership fees, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.

“Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs [Shavarsh] Kocharyan confirmed this fact yesterday [Thursday] during the budgetary discussions at the [National Assembly] NA.

[But] He refused to say to which organizations’ membership fee debts have accumulated, [and,] instead, he comforted [by informing] that there has not yet been a case when Armenia was deprived of the right to vote in any [international] organization because of debts,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
