YEREVAN. – All types of plastic surgery are contemporary in Armenia, but especially nose jobs are very popular; this is followed by breast, belly, ear, and foot surgeries. And ninety percent of the patients are women, Plastic and Reconstructive Service Director Gevorg Stepanyan said during a press conference on Friday. 

In many cases, the men and boys undergo nose jobs for respiration purposes and ear surgeries.     

Stepanyan noted that the clients should consult with psychologists prior to the surgery, especially when they come in and say they want to have a nose like Angelina Jolie’s. “We try to convince such clients that they should have a nose that suits their face,” he added.      

Also, Gevorg Stepanyan noted that the Armenians no longer possess any hang-ups on undergoing plastic surgeries that involve a person’s private parts and, what is more, they have even gone beyond them. “There are very many [such] applications and surgeries as of today,” he said.
