YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan on Friday met with a World Bank (WB) delegation led by Jean-Michel Happi, the WB Country Manager for Armenia. 

The parties discussed the ongoing and the planned programs in Armenia’s irrigation system, and a satisfaction was expressed with the course of the continuing—and WB-assisted—“Emergency Project on Restoration of Irrigation Systems,” Territorial Administration Ministry Public Relations Department informs.  

The Deputy PM considered pleasing the fact that the World Bank continues to focus on the programs toward improving Armenia’s water supply system. “Our agenda still includes the matter of having an effective irrigation system, whereby it will be possible to provide irrigation water to all village farms,” Armen Gevorgyan noted.       

In addition, the guests and Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister discussed the directions for the new projects, but in consideration of the Government’s priorities.
