YEREVAN. – One of the nine people, who were injured as a result of Thursday’s collapse of a semi-constructed building at the heart of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, is still in stable but critical condition, the Health Minister’s Press Secretary Anahit Haytayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She noted that another injured is at the reanimation ward, and the doctors say he is in average but critical condition.     

Three others have been discharged from hospital, and another three are still undergoing treatment at the neurosurgery department.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a construction crew of eleven remained under the debris as a result of Thursday’s collapse of a building in downtown Yerevan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call at 1:10pm informing that firemen and rescuers were needed. Subsequently, the firemen and rescuers were dispatched to the scene.

Identities of the nine injured are made public, and they are as follows: Kamo Kagramanov, 50, Arman, 40, Arman Grigoryan, 25, Arsen Hayrapetyan, 30, Nahapet Badalyan, Volodya Matevosyan, Sirak Tovmasyan, Edik Sukiasyan, 30, and Robert Arakelyan, 53.

A criminal case has been launched on charges of violation of the employment protection rules.
