YEREVAN. – The US national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 405.75/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Monday, and this is a 0.15-percent—or a 0.62-point—increase from the previous trading session on October 25.

To note, however, that the dollar was expected to rise at a higher rate on Monday, since the American currency was not offered on the October 26 trading session, yet its offer was considerably high on Monday, with $5.7 million. Also, the Central Bank’s buying of $1.6 million at the stock exchange last week also contributed to the dollar’s gaining value in Armenia.

The US national currency’s buying and selling exchange rates on Monday have stabilized primarily at the AMD 405-407/$1 range in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market.
