YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party will convene its congress on December 15, Heritage’s leader Raffi Hovannisian informed, during a press conference on Monday, expressing a hope that other political forces likewise will join him.

To the question as to whether he could withdraw his candidacy in the case of the nomination of another opposition candidate for next year’s presidential elections, Hovannisian responded: “I already have announced about my intentions to run for the presidential elections and to take that effort to its logical end. I expect a logical triumph. [But] If there is a different situation come December 15, we will examine it.”
