Book on Armenians in Ottoman Empire is published in Turkey

French-Armenian historians Raymond H Kévorkian’s and Paul B. Paboudjian’s joint work, which is titled Armenians in the Ottoman Empire Before 1915, is published in Turkey twenty years after its publication in France.

The book, which is published in Turkish, thoroughly presents the 2,900 Armenian-populated settlements in Ottoman Turkey, together with population statistics prepared by Armenian clergy members, and around 1,000 photographs, Radikal daily of Turkey reports.  

To note, Hrant Dink—the founder and chief editor of Istanbul’s Agos Armenian bilingual weekly, who was gunned down in 2007 in front of his office building—very much wished for this book to be published in Turkey.
